Artistic residency Association Viv’Arthe

Banc Corniche

As part of its mission to support regional artistic creation, the Musée Regards de Provence has selected the Viv’Arthe association for its fourth research, creation and production residency.

Beyond its role as an exhibition venue, the museum reaffirms its commitment to serving as a space for artistic creation and experimentation, open to artists and associations alike. For one year, it is providing the association, free of charge, with the Fort Saint-Jean artist’s studio, together with the adjacent space located in the exhibition gallery on the first floor.

Visitors are invited to discover and learn the art of mosaic-making during Viv’Arthe’s working sessions.

Viv’Arthe is an association dedicated to contemporary mosaic art, developing collaborative artistic projects that foster connections between artists, local communities and their surroundings. As part of this residency, it will offer participatory workshops, educational activities and opportunities for visitors to explore the studio, discover the different stages of the creative process, engage with the artists and experience this age-old art form reimagined through a contemporary approach.

The highlight of the residency will be the creation of a collective mosaic artwork, approximately two metres in size, depicting the Musée Regards de Provence and created with the participation of the public. Installed on a bench along the Corniche, this work will leave a lasting mark of this artistic and collective adventure in the public space, embodying the values of creativity, knowledge-sharing and community engagement that inspire both the museum and the Viv’Arthe association.
